« Aristotelous axis, redesign of the civic axis » Organisation The Organisation, which determines the theme and the terms of the competition, defines its schedule and manner of announcement to the public, and finances the conduct of the competition, appoints George Sortikos, architect-town planner, as project manager; in this capacity, he will supervise the progress of the competition and ensure that it follows regular course. It appoints local experts who have appropriate knowledge 0f the site and a pertinent overview of the theme to form a working group. These experts are Professor Alexandra Yerolympos, town planner, Professor Georgios Velenis, architect-archaeologist. Advisor on transport issues, Professor Spyros Vouyas, transportation planner. It invites international experts to assure an international perspective of the competition; these experts are: Professor Slobodan Curcic, architect archaeologist, Princeton University USA, Professor Pierre Pinon, historian of architecture, Ecole d'Architecture Paris-Defense, Bernard Reichen, architect-town-planner, Paris. It appoints 4 national and 5 international members to serve on the international Jury, which will consist of 9 members. One international member will be appointed by l.U.A. |
