Palimpseste
3D Navigator is a non-linear interactive system of representation and navigation
in the memory. Each entity of memory, each information, is defined by its eigenvalue
as well as by its connection network that it constitutes and to which it belongs.
These multiple connections set up a fabric of infinite potential links between
the various entities.
The
Internet functions by setting in interconnections of information networks, allowing
amongst other things the hypertexte, HTTP, a meta-connection of information. Palimpseste
3D Navigator proposes a spatialization of these multiple connections, a flexible
space that does not have a preliminary form but changes according to the interconnections.
The
raw material of Palimpseste 3D Navigator are the key words representing
the information to which they correspond, namely the Web pages, as well as the
accesses to other interconnections nodes. Each key word is as a living cell, which
attracts or pushes away other cells according to their contents. Each one has
moreover its own identification, which makes it possible to classify it and thus
to integrate it into various groups. The Palimpseste system designed
and developed by Electronic Shadow announces a whole series of applications to
come very soon. |
